Azerbaijan Grand Prix Track: Baku City Circuit

This track is unique for Formula 1 track in several ways. It’s a long track with a really long stretch where DRS is king going into the tight first turn, and that’s where most of the passing will take place.

Part of the track has tight 45 degree turns that resembles a rectangle, and then the next half of the track resembles a hectagon with lots of twists and turns.

Handling is important, but cars that have the best straight-line speed will ultimately be fastest with those long straights.

The track isn’t very wide, and there aren’t many run off areas so don’t be surprised if there is some bumping and banging that could bring out the safety car.

Azerbaijan Grand Prix: Top 2 Finish

Oscar Piastri (+125)

Piastri has finished Top 2 in 3 out of the last 4 races, and with Norris’s terrible starts to the race, he might be the dependable driver on McLaren right now. Verstappen has clearly taken a step back, and it’s really tough to trust Ferrari to win a race so I think Piastri should be one of the top cars to qualify and start the race well. Plus money is too good to pass up.

Azerbaijan Grand Prix: Number of Classified Drivers

Over 18.5 (+175)

There are some young drivers in this field, and I think the teams are going to tell them how important it is to get as many laps as possible in this race so I don’t think they’ll be putting themselves in danger of wrecking.

Last race, 19 cars finished, and even though this is a track that is tight and fast, it’s possible for the cars to get pretty spread out and just have a follow the leader type race with DRS trains. This is a great price on the over.

Azerbaijan Grand Prix: Fastest Qualifier

Lando Norris (+170)

He was on the pole in the last 2 races so I don’t understand why he’s +170 this race.

He can’t seem to start the race well, but there’s no doubt about his speed on one lap qualifying. +170 is too good to pass up.
