*Rain is in the forecast for some of the sessions so tread lightly with betting, and it’s probably smart to wait until right before the race/sessions to put bets in.
Canadian Grand Prix Track: Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
This track combines speed and tight corners that can wreak havoc on drivers as the braking has to be perfect to avoid collisions with other cars and the walls, especially in the middle of the field in tight quarters.
There will be definitely be cars running off the track in runoff areas so expect to see cars pass others and then have to give the position back if they gained an advantage.
There are only a couple of corners to pass on, and the 13th corner leading into the 14th will be where most of the action will take place.
I think we could see some really good racing at the front based on how the Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren’s have looked recently.
Canadian Grand Prix Winner Prediction
Max Verstappen -250
We said at Monaco that taking Leclerc and Norris at +500 was worth it, and it worked out, but this week I’ll go back to Verstappen.
Monaco is a different race completely, and before that Verstappen was going to win easily if the safety car didn’t come out to give Norris the hail mary he needed.
It’s a parlay piece that you should put with something else, but I think Max and Red Bull get back to their winning ways on a track that suits them much better than Monaco.
Canadian Grand Prix Parlay Piece
Ferrari Double Top 10
Rinse and Repeat. They’ve hit this in every race this season, and they can set the Formula 1 record this race if they do it again. It’s a challenging course, but they’ve been so consistent this year that I play this every week.
Prop: Under 6 Seconds +100
I think the top cars are now closer than they have been in years, and with rain in the forecast it could prevent cars from completely dialing in their cars which would lead to a very close race.
Verstappen, Leclerc and Norris could be running pretty close to each other at the end, and if there is a safety car within 15 laps of the end, this should easily hit.
