Hungarian Grand Prix Track: Hungaroring

This track is 4.3 kilometers with only one DRS zone, and only one long straight stretch so passing is going to be at a premium.

Turn 1 will be where most of the passing will be, but turn 12 could also see some passing as well. It’s a track where handling and braking are more important that outright speed on the straights.

Last year, Verstappen ran away with the race, but I don’t think we’ll see a situation like that this year as the top cars all seem pretty equal.

Pit strategy is going to be a big factor as weather could disrupt practice some of the sessions so there could be some uncertainty going into the race.

Hungarian Grand Prix Podium Finish

Lando Norris -190

McLaren made a mistake with the tyres last race, but he was still one of the Top 3 cars, and if he and Verstappen didn’t get together two races ago, he was destined for a win.

That wreck, and the track of Monaco making passing impossible held him back from podium’s at those races, but outside of those he’s had 6 podiums since April 21st. This track should set up well for him, I expect him to compete for the win.

Hungarian Grand Prix Parlay Piece

Mercedes Double Top 6 -340

I would expect Verstappen, and Norris to be in the Top 6, but Perez seems out to lunch these days, Ferrari can’t get their act together, and Piastri doesn’t quite have the upside as the other McLaren, and Mercedes are peaking it seems.

Russell was unlucky with the reliability issue last race, but he was easily in the Top 6, and I don’t expect another reliability issue again.

Hungarian Grand Prix Winning Margin Prediction

Aston Martin

I’ll keep playing this under 12 seconds, and I do this on DK by putting a unit on Under 6 seconds at +110, and half unit on Between 6-12 seconds at +330.

The last 7 races have all had winning margins below 12 seconds, and I just don’t think there’s a dominant car right now.
