He is trained by Brad Cox, a two-time Eclipse Award winner who has won four Breeders’ Cup races and one Preakness Stakes. Angel of Empire is a bay son of Classic Empire, who won four Grade 1 races as a two-year-old and three-year-old, including the 2017 Arkansas Derby and Preakness Stakes. His dam is Armony’s Angel, a stakes-placed mare by To Honor and Serve, who won three Grade 1 races as a three-year-old.
