Batter Prop Prediction 1: Jorge Soler Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-105)

Miami Marlins designated hitter Jorge Soler is batting ,244 on the season but has an .829 OPS, 28 home runs and 62 RBI across 471 plate appearances.

He has only recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in 3 of his last 6 games but has hit two home runs and driven in five RBI in the process. Houston Astros ace Framber Valdez is 9-7 on the season with a 3.30 ERA and 144 strikeouts across 142 innings pitched.

He has been hit hard in 4 of his last 5 outings with 21 earned runs allowed across 31 innings resulting in a 6.00+ ERA despite pitching a complete game shutout in one of the contests.

Valdez has also had issues on the road with a 4.55 ERA &.239 OBA compared to a 2.44 ERA and .223 OBA at Minute Maid Park.

Soler has feasted on left-handed pitching with a .307 batting average and 12 home runs in only 88 at-bats compared to a .227 batting average and with 16 home runs across 326 at-bats against righties.

This has been the case against Valdez who he is 3-8 (.375) against with a home run. Everything seems to line up perfectly for Soler to clear 1.5 HRR in this one and we get a reasonable price at -105.

Batter Prop Prediction 2: Randal Grichuk Under 0.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+130)

Newly acquired Los Angeles Angels right fielder Randal Grichuk is batting .287 on the season with 10 home runs and 30 RBI across 410 plate appearances between his time in Colorado and Los Angeles.

Since joining the Angels, Grichuk has gone only 8-46 (.174) with two home runs and three RBI. Texas Rangers veteran starting pitcher Max Scherzer was also acquired at the deadline (New York Mets) and is 2-0 with a 2.77 ERA and 15 strikeouts across 13 innings since joining the team.

On the season, Scherzer is 11-4 with a 3.88 ERA and 136 strikeouts across 120.2 innings of work. Mad Max has dominated Grichuk throughout his career, holding him to 2-14 (.143) with no extra base hits or RBI including 6 strikeouts.

Grichuk has only cleared this total in half his games since joining the Halos despite it being set at only 0.5. However, we are fully expecting Scherzer to make quick work of an Angels lineup that is only 15-105 (.143) with a home run against him.

Grichuk bats down in the order in the 7th or 8th hole which will limit his at bats, take his under 0.5 at +130 odds tonight in Texas.
