Shohei Ohtani (LAD) +255
Shohei Ohtani has struggled against Graham Ashcraft, but today, we like Ohtani to get the better of him. It is expected to be a beautiful day at Great American Ball Park, which is one of the premier hitters’ parks in baseball.
Ohtani is batting .371 against right-handed pitching, and ten of his 13 homers have come off a righty. Ohtani is 0-5 in his career off of Graham Ashcraft with two strikeouts, but we expect him to change that today, making this one of the best home run prop bets on the board.
This season, Ashcraft has allowed five of his seven home runs to left-handed batters. Last season, Ashcraft allowed 11 home runs of his 23 to left-handed batters. Ohtani has not had amazing success against Ashcraft, but the splits and Ohtani’s hot bat make this one of the best home run props on the board.
Marcus Semien (TEX) +525
We backed Semien last night, and he did not come through for us, but we like him to get it done today.
Marcus Semien, at these odds and with this matchup, is a great bet to go yard. Semien has not gone yard since May 17th. This season, Semien has nine home runs, and five of the nine have come on the road. Also, five of his nine home runs have come against right-handed pitching. This is one of the best home run prop bets on the board.
Bailey Ober has allowed six home runs so far this season, and four of them have come against righties. Last season, he allowed 16 home runs to righties, so he is not immune to right-handed hitters hitting the long ball against him. Semien is 471 with a double and two home runs off of Ober.
