Ryan Mountcastle is on a cold stretch in the home run department, but we like him to take one out today. On the season, Mountcastly is batting .269 against righties with three of his six home runs, a 105 wCR+, a .330 BABIP, and a .157 ISO. Given these splits and the fact he is facing a righty, this is one of the best home run prop bets on the board.
Mountcastle is 5-6 in his career off of Aaron Civale with a double and two home runs, and we expect him to add another home run to that today. He has an average exit velocity of 96.3 miles per hour and an average launch angle of 24 degrees off of Civale. Six of the 11 home runs Civale has allowed this season have come against right-handed batters.
William Contreras (MIL) +520
William Contreras has cooled slightly from his hot start, but we like him to pick it back up tonight in a great matchup. Contreras has eight home runs, and his ninth should be in his sights today at home. Contreras has not hit a home run since May 24th, but we like him to add another one today.
Erick Fedde is making the start for the White Sox on the road. Fedde has allowed eight home runs this season, and three of them have come to right-handed batters. Contreras is 4-6 in his career against Fedde with two home runs, and an average exit velocity of 104.7 miles per hour, and a 15.8-degree launch angle. Given the history, this is one of the best home run prop bets on the board.
