Willi Castro (MIN) +870
Willi Castro has two home runs this season, and at these odds, Castro is one of the best home run prop bets to make tonight. Michael Soroka makes the start for the White Sox, and he has allowed five home runs already this season. The White Sox bullpen is not much better, so Castro will have ample opportunities to hit a long ball in this game.
Michael Soroka has transformed into more of a sinker pitcher, and Castro has hit 80% of sinkers he has seen hard. Last season, Castro hit eight of his nine home runs off of right-handed pitching, so he is more of a threat to leave the yard when going against a right-handed pitcher.
Corey Seager (TEX) +260
Corey Seager has only left the yard once this season, but we expect that to change tonight at home. Luis Castillo is pitching for Seattle, and he has allowed three home runs this season, and all of them were to left-handed batters. Seager is 3-10 against Castillo in his career with no home runs or doubles, but we like Seager as one of the best home run prop bets of the night.
Castillo allowed 28 home runs last season. He is a great pitcher who throws hard, but one of the downsides of throwing hard is allowing more home runs. Lefties have a much higher batting average against Castillo this season, and he has a much higher FIP and xFIP against them. Given the matchup and the environment, Seager should be poised to hit one out tonight.
