Best Home Run Prop Bets – MLB Free HR Props Picks

Marcus Semien (TEX) +500

Carlos Rondon takes the mound for the Yankees tonight tied for 3rd in most home runs given up on the season at 24 as they host the Rangers for a three-game set starting tonight.

This spot bodes well for Marcus Semien to hit a home run who hit one in their last game against the Astros and has two separate instances this season with home runs in back-to-back games.

He’s 5-17 with a home run all time against Rondon and is hitting .293 off lefties this season opposed to just a .228 average against righties. It’s also worth noting that Semien’s slugging percentage is over 100 points higher when facing lefties on the season as well.

After a porous June, Semien increased his batting average by 85 points in July and hit four home runs last month as opposed to just two in June.

He already has two home runs in August and has hit 26+ home runs in each of the last three seasons including 45 for Toronto in 2021.

Semien only has 17 home runs this season and although he’ll likely fall short of 26 on the season, the power potential is always there for the Rangers lead off hitter. Take Semien to hit a home run at +500 with Corey Seager being another viable option to hit a home run at +320.

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Elly De La Cruz (CIN) +500

Since being acquired by the Brewers Aaron Civale has given up six home runs across five starts as Milwaukee welcomes in NL Central rival Cincinnati for a three-game series.

We missed with Elly De La Cruz earlier in the week to hit a home run but we’re going right back to him tonight, coming off a three-hit performance against Miami last night.

De La Cruz has never faced Civale in his career but hits 86 points better against righties than lefties on the season with a home run every 19 at-bats against righties as opposed to just one every 29 at-bats against lefties.

On the flip side, Civale does sport a better ERA at home but has given up equal amounts of home runs at home and on the road. It also helps this time around with De La Cruz that he’s 10-21 against Milwaukee this season with four of his 20 total home runs which is tied for the most against any team this season.

De La Cruz ranks in the top 20 in slugging percentage and OPS among all MLB players in August so far so let’s take a shot on him to hit a home run at +500 with Jeimer Candelario being another solid option to hit a home run at +500 odds as well.
