Manny Machado has yet to hit a home run in ten games this season, but we think he has a solid chance to hit his first of the 2025 season tonight on the road against the Athletics.

The Padres third baseman hit 29 home runs last season with 15 of them coming on the road and is 4-19 all-time against Athletics starter Luis Severino with three of those hits being home runs.

Severino gave up a couple home runs in his last start and gave up a home run once every 6.2 innings in night games last season compared to just one every 9.1 innings in day games.

Machado is batting .316 on the season so while he’s getting his bat effectively on the ball, he has yet to put the power into one for a home run yet.
