Jose Berrios takes the mound on Opening Day for the Blue Jays and he’s had a knack for giving up home runs to the Orioles throughout his career, especially Adley Rutschman.

The Baltimore catcher has gone 13-22 against Berrios in his career with three home runs and hit 50 points better for average on the road than at home last season.

He launched five of his 19 total home runs against the Blue Jays which was the most of any team he faced last season.

Rutschman crushed it in Spring Training batting .357 with three home runs and a slugging percentage of .595 which was second highest on Baltimore this spring of all players who had at least 40 at bats.

Berrios allowed left-handed hitters to bat just .214 last season but he did give up 18 of his 31 total home runs to lefties and Rutschman being a switch hitter, he’ll be batting left-handed against Berrios.

Take Rutschman to hit a home run at +600 with other Baltimore hitters to consider for a home run are Ryan Mountcastle at +750 and Ryan O’Hearn at +680.

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Willy Adames (SF) +400

Willy Adames makes his Giants debut tomorrow playing at the “Great American Small Park” with Hunter Greene getting the Opening Day nod for the Reds.

Sure, Adames only has three hits in 14 at-bats against the Cincinnati flame thrower but two of those three hits were home runs.

Adames is familiar going against the Reds having played his last four seasons for NL Central rival Brewers and the four home runs hit at the Great American Ball Park by him were the most he had in any ballpark not in Milwaukee last season.

Greene did have a solid season last year for Cincinnati with just a 2.75 ERA but nine of the 12 total home runs he gave up were at home with an ERA 1.33 points higher at home than road starts.

Take Adames to hit a home run at +400 with other Giants hitters to consider for a home run being Matt Chapman at +350 and Mike Yastrzemski at +500.
