Ortiz has given up three home runs across his last 9.2 innings pitched, resulting in a 6.52 ERA and with the Pirates not having anything to play for, motivation could be at a low for Ortiz.

Take Burleson to hit a home run at +450 odds with another Cardinals lefty bat to consider being Brendan Donovan at +600 who hit a home run in yesterday’s game.

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Yordan Alvarez (HOU) +280

The Astros can smell the AL West Championship up five games in the division with just ten games left in the regular season.

They host the Angels for a four-game series starting tonight sending lefty Jose Suarez to the mound. His outings are usually short, but Yordan Alvarez will get at least 1-2 at-bats against him hitting .372 with a .633 slugging percentage against left-handed pitching this season.

Playing in the AL West, Alvarez has tons of experience against the Angels specifically this season batting .353 with a .853 slugging percentage including four of his 34 total home runs.

Alvarez has hit a quarter of his total home runs over the past month so it seems the Houston outfielder is heating up for the playoffs and also making a personal run at breaking his career high home runs for a season with 37 back in 2022.

Take Alvarez to hit a home run at +280 with Jose Altuve another option to consider at +400 who is 7-17 with a home run off Suarez all-time.
