Yordan Alvarez has an RBI in two straight games as he and the Astros host Chris Bassitt and the Blue Jays tonight.

Now, we’re aware Bassitt has had a stellar season thus far going 2-0 with a 0.77 ERA through four starts, but the Astros first baseman’s head-to-head stats against Bassitt are just too hard to ignore.

Alvarez is 8-19 with five home runs all time against the Toronto starter and although he only has two extra base hits this month, he’s fully capable of hitting a home run during any given play appearance.

Bassitt gave up 18 home runs last season with 14 of them coming against lefties and allowed left-handed batters to hit .305 with a .485 slugging percentage compared to right-handed hitters hitting .234 with a .309 slugging percentage.

We’re expecting some regression from Bassitt tonight so take Alvarez to hit a home run at +320 with other Astros batters to consider for a home run include Christian Walker (+450) and Cam Smith (+600).

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Pete Alonso (NYM) +420

Lefty Cristopher Sanchez takes the mound for Philadelphia tonight in New York taking on the Mets for the second of a three-game series.

Pete Alonso has been white hot to start the MLB season blasting six home runs along with 24 RBIs so far on the season.

He’s 4-20 all-time against Sanchez with a home run with the Philadelphia starter allowing at least one home run in three of his first four starts.

Last season Sanchez struggled on the road sporting a 5.02 road ERA compared to just a 2.21 ERA in home starts.

Alonso has just 16 at-bats against left-handed pitching this season but he’s batting .375 against them with a .750 slugging percentage on the season and slugging .625 in home games this season.

Sanchez isn’t known for giving up too many home runs, but with how hot Alonso is we can’t pass up the +420 odds to hit a home run tonight at home against one of the Mets’ top rivals. Other Mets batters to look at for a home run are Mark Vientos (+480) and Francisco Lindor (+520).
