Erick Fedde has allowed four home runs across his first three starts with the Cardinals as they host NL Central rival Brewers at Busch Stadium tonight.

Although he’s having a down year by his standards, this poses as a decent shot for first baseman Rhys Hoskins to hit a home run on the road tonight.

He has hit 27+ home runs in four of his last five seasons but likely won’t get to that mark this season notching 20 home runs so far in 2024.

Hoskins has plenty of experience against Fedde in his career from their time playing against one another in the NL East, Hoskins playing for Philadelphia and Fedde on Washington.

Hoskins is 9-29 with three home runs in his career against the Cardinals starter belting half of his home runs on the road this season.

He has hit three home runs against the Cardinals already this season which is the most against any team this season including one at Busch Stadium back in April.

Losers in eight of their last ten games, this season can’t end soon enough for the Angels who sit dead last in the AL West behind the Athletics.

Veteran Salvador Perez posts solid stats against Anderson and against lefties in general this season going 5-17 with three doubles and a home run against Anderson.

He has hit a home run once every 18 at-bats against lefties this season and posts a .317 average opposed to just a .267 average against righties this season.

The Royals are sitting comfortably in the last AL Wildcard spot for now, but they can’t afford losses against teams like the Angels at this point in the season, especially playing at home where Perez has hit half of his home runs.

It’s also worth noting that Perez is considerably better in night games posting a .326 batting average and .551 slugging percentage, both top 11 among all MLB players when playing at night. Take Perez to hit a home run at +360 with Bobby Witt Jr. another home run option to consider at +400 odds.
