Patrick Corbin is facing the Dodgers for the second time this season, and things could get ugly in Washington, D.C. In the first meeting, Corbin retired Hernandez in all his plate appearances, and Hernandez is 0-6 against Corbin in his career. However, given both of these players’ splits and advanced metrics, Hernandez becomes one of the best home run prop bets to make today.

Corbin has allowed three home runs so far this season, and all three of them were to right-handed batters. Hernandez has five home runs and two of them have come off of lefties. Against left-handed pitching, Hernandez has a higher ISO and wRC+. Against right-handed hitters, Corbin has a higher FIP, HR/9, and hard hit rate against. Hernandez is certainly capable of going yard against Corbin today, making this one of the best home run prop bets to make.

Trea Turner (PHI) +310

Trea Turner has begun to heat up, and tonight, we like Turner to turn on one (pun intended) for a home run. Turner has not gone yard off a lefty yet this season, but he has a great matchup to do so against Reds’ starter Andrew Abbott. Abbott has allowed three home runs this season, and all of them were to right-handed hitters.

Abbott has a higher FIP, xFIP, hard-hit rate, and fly ball percentage against right-handed hitters. Turner has a higher wRC+ against left-handed pitchers. In three plate appearances against Abbott, Turner is 0-2 with a walk. However, Turner hit those balls with a 92.8 exit velocity along with a 21.5-degree launch angle, meaning he got the ball in the air. This game being in Cincinnati helps, and Turner is one of the best home run prop bets to make tonight.
