Pete Alonso has 14 home runs this season, and tonight, he was a matchup against a pitcher he has dominated. On the season, Pete Alonso is batting .215 against lefties, and four of his 14 home runs have come against left-handed pitching. He has a 132 wCR+, a .227 BABIP, and a .277 ISO against lefties. Given these splits and the fact he is facing a lefty he sees well, this is one of the best home run prop bets on the board.
Alonso is 7-18 in his career off of Braxton Garrett, with two home runs, and we expect him to add a home run to that today. He has an average exit velocity of 94.6 miles per hour and an average launch angle of 20.8 degrees off of Garrett. Cody Bellinger (CHC) +430
Cody Bellinger has not hit a home run since May 30th, but he has a good matchup to go yard today. Bellinger has eight home runs this season, and his ninth should be in his sights today at home. Bellig er has a solid matchup today against Aaron Civale.
Aaron Civale is making the start for the Rays at home, which is a hitter’s park. Civale has been solid this season, but he has allowed 13 home runs this season, and six of them have come to left-handed batters. Bellinger is 0-3 in his career against Civale with an 88.3 average exit velocity and an 18.3 launch angle. Seven of his eight homers have come off righties, making this one of the best home run props on the board.
