Today, we look to build on our success in the first-inning market. What are the best NRFI bets to make today? There are a lot of factors at play when it comes to these bets, so there is always a ton that goes into it. Let’s dive in.

Best NRFI Bets Today – Free NRFI Picks

NRFI Best Bet Today #1: Kansas City Royals at Texas Rangers (-110)

The Royals put up .54 runs per first frame, which is near the top of the MLB, but we are fading them today. They are averaging no runs in the first inning over their last three games, and we expect this to stick. The Royals score .30 runs in the first on the road, which is a solid dropoff. They are facing righty Nate Eovaldi, who has been great this season, and he has a .314 xwOBA against the current Royals roster.

The Rangers are averaging .58 runs in the first frame, which is 7th best in baseball, but we are going against them. So far this season, they are averaging .56 runs at home. Right-handed starter Brady Singer makes the start for Kansas City, and Singer has been decent this season. He dominates the Ranger’s current roster with a 33.8% K rate, a .192 xBA, and a .245 xwOBA.

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: New York Mets at Chicago Cubs (-110)

The Mets put up .47 runs per first frame, which is in the middle of the pack in the MLB, and we like them not to score in the first. They are averaging .33 runs in the first inning over their last three games, and though they have been hot, this is a tough matchup. The Mets score .55 runs in the first on the road, which is a solid increase, but we are fading. They are facing lefty Shota Imanaga, who has been great this season, and he has a .212 xwOBA against the current Mets roster. He pitched 7 scoreless against the Mets in May.

The Cubs are averaging .45 runs in the first frame, which is 19th best in baseball, and we are going against them. So far this season, they are averaging .51 runs at home. Left-handed starter Jose Quintana makes the start for New York, and Quintana has been decent this season. He pitches well against the Cubs’ current roster with a 31.1% K rate, a .253 xBA, and a .312 xwOBA.
