Best NRFI Bets Today – Free NRFI Picks
NRFI Best Bet Today #1: Texas Rangers at Milwaukee Brewers (-110)
The Rangers are averaging .56 runs in the first frame, which is 7th best in baseball, but we are going against them. So far this season, they are averaging .61 runs on the road. Right-handed starter Freddy Peralta makes the start for Milwaukee, and Peralta is a stud despite his up-and-down season. He dominates the Ranger’s current roster with a 37.8% K rate, a .171 xBA, and a .248 xwOBA.
The Brewers put up .41 runs per first frame, which is near the bottom of the MLB, and we are fading them today. They are averaging no runs in the first inning over their last three games, and we expect this to stick. The Brewers score .44 runs in the first at home, which is a slight increase. They are facing righty Michael Lorenzen, who has been decent this season, and he has a .215 xwOBA against the current Brewers roster.
NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Chicago Cubs at San Francisco Giants (-110)
The Cubs are averaging .51 runs in the first frame, which is 14th best in baseball, and we are going against them. So far this season, they are averaging .39 runs on the road. The Giants have not announced a starter yet, but the Cubs will be in a pitcher’s park, which will help suppress runs. Also, this team is averaging two runs per first inning over their last three games, so we can expect some regression.
The Giants put up .35 runs per first frame, which is near the bottom of the MLB, and we like them not to score in the first. They are averaging one run in the first inning over their last three games, and though they have been hot, this is a tough matchup. The Giants score .41 runs in the first at home, which is a solid increase, but we are fading. They are facing lefty Justin Steele, who they just faced, and the game went for an NRFI. Steele has a .266 xwOBA against the current Giants roster.
