MLB Player Props Today for Monday: Brendan Donovan, Cardinals OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-130)

Brendan Donovan is hitting at an elite level this season, posting a .359 batting average that ranks 3rd in the MLB and a .930 OPS that’s tied for 12th best in the league.

Now he gets an opportunity to continue his hot streak against Nick Martinez who he’s gone 3/4 against with a home run, a walk and four RBI.

Left-handed hitters are batting .275 against Martinez this season with a very high BABIP (.370) and he’s allowed 3+ runs in 4 of his 5 outings.

Donovan has smashed righties this season with a .428 wOBA and he’s in a perfect spot in the lineup (3rd), batting behind hitters like Lars Nootbar & Willson Contreras and in front of hitters like Nolan Arenado.

The Cardinals rank 4th in OBP and top 10 in wRC+ which sets up Donovan nicely for RBI and run scoring opportunities against Martinez.

Urias is a big fan of “Patrick Corbin Day” as he’s feasted on the pitcher, going 5-13 (.385) with a home run. MLB bettors have become so accustomed to fading Corbin that they named a day in the honor of his starts and he was one of the absolute worst starters during the 2024 campaign.
