Daily Home Run Prop Picks, Predictions and Odds 5/26/22

Ronald Acuna Jr. of Braves hits home run

Daily MLB Home Run Prop Bets May 26

The Rockies and Nationals are set for a potential shootout in Washington D.C. with two starting pitchers sporting a 6+ ERA taking the mound. Who could hit one out of Nationals Park? WagerTalk content contributor Kyle Kargel provides his home run prop picks and predictions for Thursday, May 26 with odds provided by FanDuel.

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Ronald Acuna Jr. (+340)

There are a few Braves hitters we could go with tonight against starter Aaron Nola but let’s keep it to one with Ronald Acuna Jr. who is 11-29 against Nola with three home runs.

The Braves as a team have beaten the Phillies in two straight and Acuna Jr. has been hot as of late hitting .368 in his past seven games.

He still only has two home runs on the season and it’s time for him to get his power numbers on track after almost a month of games under his belt. He’s batting .333 at home this season and .317 at night.

Acuna Jr. is +340 to hit a home run, but if you’re looking for more value Marcell Ozuna (+460) and Austin Riley (+500) posses that and they both have excellent splits against Nola as well.

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Brendan Rodgers (+750)

The Rockies stay out east for a series with the Washington Nationals and their starter starter tonight, Patrick Corbin is 0-7 with a 6.60 ERA.

He’s allowed five home runs in his last two starts which presents an opportunity to go with Brendan Rodgers who hit 15 home runs last season in 102 games, good for a home run once every seven games.

He has two so far this season in 34 games and hasn’t hit one since May 13th. He’s 5-10 career against Corbin with one home run.

Corbin is a lefty and Rodgers has hit both of his home runs against left handed pitching with a .333 average this season in 30 at-bats, compared to 98 at-bats against righties in which he’s hit .214 showing us the pitching he prefers.

Rodgers is riding a 12-game hitting streak and it helps one of his two home runs came against the Nationals earlier this season. At +750 you’re getting maximum value here, but if you’re looking for something safer, Ryan McMahon (+500) has also hit the ball well against Corbin.
