Dodgers vs Cardinals Expert Betting Advice
This will be the second and final series between these clubs during the 2023 campaign, the Dodgers completed a three-game home sweep over the Cardinals in late April by the combined score of 14-6. Los Angeles won the 2022 season series 4-2, winning two of three at home and on the road.
The Cardinals will be wrapping up a seven-game homestand while the Dodgers will be kicking off a lengthy 10 game road trip.
It’s interesting how things lined up as both teams send out right-handed starters in games 2 & 3 and southpaws in games 1 & 4. Neither team is particularly great against lefties as the Dodgers are bottom of the barrel while the Cards are middle of the pack.
However, Arenado has been crushing lefties and he is 6-13 with four extra-base hits against Thursday nights starter Julio Urias, take his over on total bases.
The Cardinals top hitters all have success against Game 3’s starter Noah Syndergaard and they have crushed right-handed pitching as a team. Take the St. Louis team total over on Saturday night.
