Hits + Runs + RBIs Prediction 1: Salvador Perez Under 1.5 (-150)

Salvador Perez has been struggling to drive in runs in a Royals lineup that ranks bottom five across the board offensively.

Now he has to face Rays ace Shane McClanahan who he is only 1-5 against with three strikeouts and no RBIs or runs. Southpaws have been a problem for Perez all season long as he is only hitting .211 with one home run, 5 RBI and 6 runs across 76 at-bats.

Meanwhile he has hit .296 with 13 hone runs, 32 RBI, 27 runs across 186 at-bats against right-handed pitching. Tropicana Field is known as a pitchers park and McClanahan will pitch 6+ innings in all likelihood.

Regardless, Perez has fallen short of this HRR total in 4 of his last 6 games and I don’t see the Royals scrapping together more than a run or two tonight. Let’s risk a little bit of extra juice on the under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI for Perez tonight in Tampa Bay.

Hits + Runs + RBIs Prediction 2: Randy Arozarena Over 1.5 (-115)

Randy Arozarena is in the midst of a spectacular season with a .292 batting average, .907 OPS, 14 home runs, 50 RBI and 46 runs scored across 257 at-bats.

He will be entering this series against the Kansas City Royals with some solid momentum after going 3-3 with a home run and a double against the Baltimore Orioles yesterday.

Jose Cuas will serve as the opener for Kansas City on Friday and Arozarena walked in his only at-bat against him. However, Cuas has yet to pinch more than one inning in any appearance yet this season and is backed by one of the most dreadful bullpens in the majors.

The Royals pen ranks 28th in ERA and WHIP at 4.82 & 1.47 respectively while allowing the 4th most hits and 3rd most walks.

Arozarena loves some home cooking as he bats .299 at the Trop while hitting 9 of his 14 home runs in less at-bats that he has on the road. Everything lines up perfectly for an Arozarena over 1.5 on HRR in Tampa tonight.
