Hitter Prop Prediction 1: Yordan Alvarez

Houston Astros left fielder Yordan Alvarez finished the regular season with a .293 batting average, 31 home runs and 97 RBI across 492 plate appearances.

Alvarez has remained hot in the postseason with a .350 batting average, four home runs and 6 RBI across 21 plate appearances.

He had recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI before falling short last game in a tough matchup against a southpaw. Texas Rangers starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi posted a 12-5 record, 3.63 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 132 strikeouts across 144 innings of work.

Eovaldi has been brilliant in the postseason, allowing only two runs while scattering 11 hits across 13.2 innings pitched in his two starts.

However, Valdez has feasted on him, going 8-11 (.727) with a home run and three doubles across his career. Eovaldi was hammered by the Astros in his last outing against them where he allowed four runs on five hits in only 1.1 innings of a 14-1 loss.

Alvarez went 3-6 in that game and crushed a home run of the bullpen. Look for Alvarez and the Astros sluggers to be locked in today as they don’t want to go on the road down 2-0. Take the over 1.5 HRR on Alvarez with very manageable juice.

Hitter Prop Prediction 2: Christian Walker OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+125)

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker posted a .258 batting average during the regular season with 33 home runs and 103 RBI across 648 plate appearances.

Walker is hitting .294 (5-17) so far in the playoffs with a home run and five RBI. More importantly, he has recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in three of five games while recording at least one in every game.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler finished the regular season with a 13-6 record, 3.61 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 212 strikeouts across 192 innings pitched.

Wheeler has remained sharp in his two playoff starts with three runs allowed on 8 hits across 13 innings resulting in a 1-0 record.

However, Wheeler has struggled against Walker, letting him go 9-17 (.529) with a home run and three doubles.

This young Diamondbacks team hasn’t been afraid of anyone thus far in the postseason and Walker is basically their elder statesman. Walker is also the clean-up hitter who will get RBI opportunities batting behind the likes of Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll.

He has recorded at least 1 HRR in every playoff game and this is a plus matchup in a great hitting environment at plus money.
