Hitter Prop Prediction 1: Bo Bichette OVER 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+130)
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is hitting .313 on the season with 18 home runs and 64 RBI across 515 plate appearances.
Bichette missed just sort of two weeks due to a quad injury but has recorded 3+ Hits + Runs + RBI in one of two games since returning with a 2-5, 2 RBI performance.
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Dane Dunning has a 9-6 record during the 2023 campaign with a 3.88 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 115 strikeouts across 146 innings of work. However, Dunning was lit up in his last outing, allowing 9 runs on 11 hits including three home runs across 5.1 innings pitched.
Bichette has feasted on Dunning, going 5-11 with three home runs, a double and five RBI. The Blue Jays are locked in a heated battle for an American League Wild Card spot and the Rangers are nipping at their heels, only 1.5 games behind.
The Toronto lineup has scored 5+ runs in their last three and 9 of their last 10 games. That’s a trend that should continue with Bichette back in the order against a vulnerable pitcher.
Bichette’s history against Dunning combined with the pitchers struggles makes him worthy of a play at +130 odds despite the number being set at 2.5.
Hitter Prop Prediction 2: Brent Rooker UNDER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145)
Oakland Athletics left fielder Brent Rooker is hitting .240 with 23 home runs and 57 RBI across 461 plate appearances during the 2023 campaign.
Rooker has been ice cold in September with a .192 batting average (5-26) with only one home run and two RBI. He has fallen short of recording 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in four of his last five games and 59% of his games on the season.
Houston Astros starting pitcher Framber Valdez is 11-9 on the season with a 3.30 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 168 strikeouts across 174.2 innings of work.
He has dominated the Oakland Athletics with a 3-0 record and only five runs allowed across 20 innings pitched resulting in an ERA just north of 2.00.
Valdez has been particularly sharp against Rooker, holding him to 1-10 with no home runs or RBI during his career.
The Athletics and Rooker have nothing left to play for while the Astros and Valdez are immersed in heated battle for the American League West. Look for Valdez to continue his dominance over Rooker and keep him under 1.5 HRR tonight.
