Hitter Prop Prediction 1: Rafael Devers OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-125)
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers is batting .278 with 33 home runs and 98 RBI across 615 plate appearances during the 2023 campaign.
Devers just won the American League Player of the Week after hitting .400 (8-20) with a staggering four home runs and five RBI. He has now recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in 12 of his last 16 games.
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi is 11-4 with a minuscule 2.96 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 118 strikeouts across 130.2 innings of work.
However, he has struggled since returning from injury in September with six runs allowed across seven innings resulting in a 7.71 ERA. Eovaldi has struggled with longevity, pitching only no more than 3.1 innings in any of his last three starts.
Devers has only faced his former teammate once head-to-head, going 1-3 with a two RBI double. He has hit 20 of his 33 home runs on the road despite nearly identical at-bat numbers.
Based on Eovaldi’s struggles and Devers hot streak, I’m pleasantly surprised to get an over 1.5 HRR with -125 odds.
Hitter Prop Prediction 2: Christian Walker OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-130)
Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker is hitting .259 with 30 home runs and 93 RBI across 611 plate appearances on the season.
Walker has hit a rough patch recently, hitting only .180 (11-61) with two home runs and six RBI in September. However, he recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in all three games this weekend against the Chicago Cubs.
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Alex Cobb is 7-6 on the season with a 3.76 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 130 strikeouts across 149.1 innings pitched.
He allowed three runs on four hits including three home runs across six innings in his last outing against Arizona. Cobb has also struggled on the road with a 5.26 ERA & .307 OBA compared to a nifty 1.95 ERA and .225 OBA at home.
Walker has feasted on Cobb, going 8-19 for a .421 batting average with a home run and four RBI. Walker is starting to get back into form at the plate and this could serve as a perfect get right spot against a starter that he has had success against in the past. Take his HRR over at -130 odds or better.
