Hitter Prop Prediction 1: Ryan Mountcastle Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-150)

Baltimore Orioles first baseman Ryan Mountcastle is batting .252 on the season with 13 home runs and 48 RBI across 304 plate appearances.

Mountcastle was on fire in July with a .350 batting average, two home runs and 7 RBI across 43 plate appearances and continued his torrid pace in his first August action with a 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI. He has recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in his last three games and 6 of his last 8 games.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi is having the best season of his career with an 8-3 record, 3.79 ERA and 116 strikeouts across 109.1 innings of work.

However, Mountcastle has feasted on Kikuchi, going 5-10 against him with four home runs and a double. Mountcastle generally bats second in the O’s lineup, and he isn’t the only Baltimore slugger to have success against Kikuchi, so there will be plenty of runs scoring and RBI opportunities.

The Orioles have scored 17 runs in their first two games in Toronto and I’m backing Mountcastle to continue his hot streak and clear 1.5 HRR.

Hitter Prop Prediction 2: Adolis Garcia Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110)

Texas Rangers right fielder Adolis Garcia is quietly having one of the best power hitting seasons in the majors with a .843 OPS, 28 home runs and 85 RBI across 443 plate appearances.

Garcia has only eclipsed 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI in 2 of his last 5 games but has landed on one exactly in the other three games and in 53% of the games on the season.

He has also been a White Sox killer, clearing this total in all four head-to-head matchups while going 5-16 (.313) with two home runs, three doubles and three RBI.

Pale Hose starting pitcher Dylan Cease avoided being dealt at the deadline and is 4-4 on the season with a 4.15 ERA and 143 strikeouts across 119.1 innings pitched. However, Cease has struggled with Garcia, allowing him to go 3-11 with a home run, double and two RBI.

Garcia has also had success against multiple Chicago relievers, and they just traded away three key bullpen arms in Kendall Graveman, Joe Kelly and Reynaldo Lopez.

He also loves home cooking with a .288 batting average and 17 home runs compared to only a .231 batting average and 9 home runs on the road in one less at-bat. Everything lines up perfectly for Garcia to clear 1.5 HRR at a reasonable price of -110.
