Hitter Prop Prediction 1: Cody Bellinger Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-150)

Cody Bellinger has been the hottest hitter in the majors since July 1st with a .400 batting average, 9 home runs and 28 RBI across 119 plate appearances. On the season, he is hitting .316 with 16 home runs and 50 RBI across 322 plate appearances.

Bellinger has continued this torrid pace in the first three games of his current series with the Cincinnati Reds, going 5-14 (.357) with a home run and 4 RBI while recording 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in all three games. He has cleared 1.5 HRR in an impressive 50 of 77 games for a 65% success rate.

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Luke Weaver is in the midst of a brutal 2023 campaign where he is 2-3 with a 6.80 ERA and 67 strikeouts across 86 innings of work.

He has struggled against Bellinger throughout his career, allowing him to go 4-10 with two home runs and four RBI. The Cubs have already scored a staggering 42 runs in their last three games against the Reds including 20 run and 16 run performances in the last two games.

If the Cubs score 15+ runs Bellinger is a near lock to clear this total and he’s been on fire making the juice worth the squeeze.

Hitter Prop Prediction 2: Paul Goldschmidt Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+100)

St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is batting .277 on the season with 18 home runs and 56 RBI across 469 plate appearances.

However, he has hit a cold spell recently, falling short of this Hits + Runs + RBI total in his last two and 5 of his last 6 games. Goldschmidt is only 3-21 (.142) with no home runs and only one RBI during those six games.

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Sonny Gray is 4-4 on the season with a 3.22 ERA and 115 strikeouts across 117.1 innings pitched.

Gray and Goldschmidt are very familiar with one and other and Gray has gotten the better of him, holding him to an impressive 1-20 (.050) with no home runs and seven strikeouts.

We are in the dog days of summer and Goldy is an on the back nine at 35 years old. The Cardinals also don’t have a ton of motivation considering they are sitting at dead last place in the NL Central. Look for Gray to continue his dominance over Goldschmidt and hold him under 1.5 HRR at a +100 price.
