Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Christian Yelich (+600)

It’s do or die today for the Brewers with the Diamondbacks upsetting the Brewers last night to take a 1-0 series lead.

Ace Zac Gallen takes the mound for Arizona today sporting a 4.42 road ERA during the regular season compared to just a 2.47 home ERA.

Leadoff hitter Christian Yelich will have to come to play today if the Brewers want a shot at winning. He’s 4-14 off Gallen in his career with Gallen allowing 14 of his 22 home runs to left handed hitters in 27 less batters faced than righties on the season.

Not to mention Gallen has given up 15 of 22 home runs on the road this season as well. Yelich has batted .400 over the last 15 days and also bats .294 vs righties compared to .234 vs lefties.

The Brewers lefty also garners a .489 slugging percentage against righties compared to just a .331 slugging percentage against lefties so if we’re going to get any power out of Yelich tonight, it’s going to come against Gallen or a right-handed bullpen pitcher later in the game.

Take Yelich to hit a home run at +600 with other Brewers who could belt a home run tonight are Carlos Santana (+520) and Josh Donaldson (+400).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Trea Turner (+430)

The Phillies look to finish the Marlins off tonight which Trea Turner should have a hand in doing going 2-6 with two home runs all-time against Miami starter Braxton Garrett.

Turner is only hitting .229 against lefties this season but he did have a double off last night’s starter Jesus Luzardo who is a lefty.

Turner has a home run once every 20 at-bats against lefties on the season compared to one every 26 at-bats vs righties.

Garrett has been solid as of late but he did allow two home runs in just four innings in his last regular season start against the Mets.

He allows righties to hit 50 points better than lefties on the season with Turner hitting 16 of his 26 home runs in August and September compared to his other ten coming in a four month span between April-July.

Take Turner to hit a home run tonight at +430 with other Phillies batters to consider for a home run include Kyle Schwarber (+360) and Nick Castellanos (+470).
