Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Ryan Mountcastle (+420)

It was only two years ago in which Orioles first baseman Ryan Mountcastle hit 33 home runs but only has 13 this season heading into tonight’s game against the Blue Jays sending lefty Yusei Kikuchi to the mound.

Mountcastle has loved facing lefties this season batting .337 with a .684 slugging percentage and eight of his 13 home runs in 95 at-bats with the other five coming in 191 at-bats against righties.

More specifically, Mountcastle has loved facing Kikuchi going 5-10 against him with four of those five hits being home runs.

The Blue Jays lefty has allowed 22 home runs on the season while allowing right handed batters to hit .259 off of him. Kikuchi surprisingly hasn’t allowed a home run across his last three starts so it seems he’s due to allow one at the Rogers Centre tonight.

Take Mountcastle to hit a home run at +420 with other Orioles to consider for a home run are Austin Hays (+450) and Anthony Santander (+400).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Spencer Steer (+370)

The Reds and Cubs put a whopping 29 runs on the board last night with Chicago sending lefty Drew Smyly to the mound tonight.

He’s allowed at least one home run in five of his past six starts while sporting a 5.94 home ERA on the season.

Reds first baseman Spencer Steer will look to take advantage of this situation batting .320 against lefties on the season with seven of his 15 total home runs in 179 less at-bats than right-handers faced on the season.

July was his worst hitting month of the season but he got off to a solid August start last night with two doubles and an RBI. On the season Steer is batting .321 vs the Cubs and .333 at Wrigley Field.

Take Steer to hit a home run tonight at +370 with a couple other Cincinnati players to look for a home run are Matt McLain (+430) and Nick Senzel (+630).
