Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Ian Happ (+600)

Ian Happ has had a somewhat forgetful August batting only .207 during this month as he and the Cubs get the Pirates in Pittsburgh tonight who send Mitch Keller to the mound.

Happ is 7-16 in his career against Keller with two home runs and sports a .418 slugging percentage against righties compared to a .357 slugging percentage against lefties.

Although this is Happ’s worst hitting month, his four home runs in August are the most in any given month for the Cubs outfielder this season. Keller has given up 19 home runs on the season with nine of those coming at home.

The Pittsburgh righty hasn’t pitched against the Cubs yet this season but Happ has loved playing against the Pirates sporting a .345 batting average to go along with a home run and .690 slugging percentage, not to mention 11 RBIs as well which are the most he has against any team on the season.

Take Happ to hit a home run tonight at +600 with other Cubs to consider are Cody Bellinger (+550) and Dansby Swanson (+600).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Nick Castellanos (+470)

Nick Castellanos already has a season high for home runs in a month this August with seven as he and the Phillies welcome the Cardinals sending Miles Mikolas to the mound tonight.

The Cardinals righty has struggled this August sporting a 5.40 ERA including giving up seven earned runs (two home runs) in 4.2 innings against the Mets and four earned runs in 6.1 innings against the Athletics.

Castellanos already has two home runs off Mikolas in his career and the Phillies outfielder loves playing at home too.

He’s hit 14 of his 21 home runs at home in 27 less at-bats than he’s taken on the road while hitting a solid .308.

The Phillies do hold a three-game edge in the NL Wildcard but they can’t afford to let games like tonight slip away as the Cardinals have essentially nothing to play for at this point.

Take Castellanos to his a home run at +470 with other Phillies hitters to consider for a home run include Bryce Harper (+390) and J.T. Realmuto (+470).
