Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Jorge Soler (+330)

Jorge Soler continues his tear against left-handed pitching hitting a home run once every 7.5 at-bats compared to against righties hitting one every 16 at-bats.

Lefty Joey Lucchesi takes the mound for the Mets tonight who has been solid in spaced out starts throughout the season.

He did last pitch six days ago allowing five hits and three walks in seven innings pitched against Arizona, but the Marlins have the second best batting average of all teams against lefties.

Soler did miss some games in September but did hit a home run in Sunday’s 16-2 stomping of the Braves. He’s tied for sixth in the National League with 36 home runs with this being a huge game for Miami in the NL Wildcard race.

Look for Soler to be a key contributor in the Marlins offensive success tonight with odds to hit a home run at +330 with other Marlins who could potentially hit a home run include Jake Burger (+430) and Jesus Sanches (+700).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Gleyber Torres (+330)

Lefty Yusei Kikuchi takes the mound in New York to take on the Yankees with second baseman Gleyber Torres going 8-20 with a home run against the Blue Jays starter.

Kikuchi’s numbers are solid for the season but he’s struggled as of late posting a 5.52 ERA through three September starts so far with two of those against the Royals and Rockies (not good).

He allows right handed hitters to bat .260 on the season with 20 of the 26 home runs given up on the season to righties as well.

Torres isn’t generally known for his power but he does have 25 home runs this season which is the most since he hit 38 back in 2019.

He’s hit seven of his 25 home runs over the last 30 days so let’s go with him to hit another at home where he’s hit 16 of his 25 at-bats in six less taken than on the road this season.

Odds for Torres to hit a home run are listed at +450 with other Yankees to look at for a home run include Aaron Judge (+260) and Giancarlo Stanton (+300).
