It’s no secret that Astros first baseman Jose Abreu has seen much more success in season’s past as the Astros travel to take on AL West rival Texas and lefty Andrew Heaney today at 4:05pm ET.

Of the 22 total home runs Heaney has given up this season, 21 of them have been to right-handed hitters.

Abreu hits slightly better against lefties and has a home run once every 26 at-bats compared to just one every 46 at-bats against right-handed pitching on the season.

He’s hit eight of his 12 home runs on the road and provides nice splits against Heaney in his career going 5-17 with four of those five hits being home runs.

The Astros as still in a three-dog race for the AL West Championship in which Abreu will need to pick up some slack if the Astros are going to get to the top come season end.

Take Abreu to hit a home run today at +370 with other Astros to look at for a home run include Jose Altuve (+370) who is 11-34 against Heaney with two home runs as well as Alex Bregman (+450) who is 9-33 with a home run off Heaney.

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Trea Turner (+480)

The Trea Turner everybody knows and loves has completely broken away from the struggles he’s had in all of 2023 as of late. Where do we start?

He has multi-hit games in six of his last eight games, he hit at least one home run in five straight games before yesterday’s game against Milwaukee and has hit .368 over the past 30 days with a .783 slugging percentage.

Turner goes up against a familiar foe in Rich Hill today in which he’s 8-17 in his career with a home run. The Padres lefty has allowed six home runs in six starts since joining the team and has allowed at least three earned runs in five of six starts as well.

Turner sports a .284 batting average at home along with a .511 slugging percentage. Let’s take advantage of Turner’s current hot streak and his success against Hill in his career.

Odds for Turner to hit a home run are listed at +480 with other Phillies to look at for a home run include Nick Castellanos (+500) and J.T. Realmuto (+520).
