Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Nolan Arenado (+285)

Nolan Arenado has gotten off to a solid start batting .333 so far but has yet to hit a home run yet. In April last season Arenado hit five home runs which was tied for second most of any month by him.

He and the Cardinals get the Brewers who are sending out Eric Lauer who posted a solid first start against the Cubs going 5.1 innings allowing two earned runs.

In his career against Lauer, Arenado is 6-20 with two home runs so we see some opportunity here. Especially if he has any desire to complete three straight 30-home run seasons.

Get Arenado to hit a home run out of American Family Field at +285 with other Cardinal hitters to consider are Tyler O’Neill (+320) and Paul Goldschmidt (+265).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Shohei Ohtani (+220)

Yesterday we hit Mike Trout blasting his second home run of the season so why not go with another Angels hitter tonight in Shohei Ohtani who is 6-14 in his career against Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios with three home runs.

Berrios struggled in his first start against Kansas City going 5.2 innings allowing eight earned runs. He didn’t allow a home run in that start, but allowed 29 of them last season which was tied for 6th most among all MLB pitchers.

Pitching on the road also ate at Berrios last season sporting a 6.36 road ERA with 18 home runs allowed in 80.2 innings pitched (one every 4.5 innings).

Get Ohtani at +220 to hit a home run with other Angels to consider are Mike Trout (+240) and Taylor Ward (+390).
