Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Kole Calhoun (+410)
We’re going with Kole Calhoun with one of our picks primarily because of the splits he has against Christian Javier in his career.
He’s 7-10 with three home runs including a home run off Javier already this season back on May 20. Calhoun has struggled in June thus far only hitting .143 with 0 home runs after a May in which he hit .326 with all seven home runs of his coming last month as well.
He needs to pick it back up and what would boost his confidence more than going against a pitcher he’s had so much success against already in his career.
The Rangers have played in two consecutive extra innings games in which Calhoun had six at-bats in each so a day off could be in order.
Four of his seven home runs have come at home and Globe Life Field in general has given up the 7th most home runs of any park in the MLB. Take a shot on Calhoun at +410.
Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Ozzie Albies (+540)
The Braves have been riding hot winning 11-straight as they head into Washington to face Josiah Gray and the Nationals.
Gray has given up 14 home runs this season including five home runs in his last four starts. There are many Braves to consider but we’re going with Ozzie Albies based on the solid +540 odds.
He just blasted a home run against the Pirates two days ago and in his career against Gray he’s 3-7 with a home run.
Albies had six home runs in April, zero in May and already two in June so he’s back to finding his power stroke. For what it’s worth Gray has been noticeably worse at home with a struggling 7.14 ERA and 10 of the 14 home runs he’s given up have been at home.
This seems like a juicy matchup for Braves hitters considering how hot they’ve been. So other Braves hitters to consider are Matt Olson (+330), Ronald Acuna Jr. (+240) and Adam Duvall (+330).
