Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Ty France (+650)
Mariners Ty France is 6-11 against Athletics starter Frankie Montas in his career and the Mariners as a team have dominated the Athletics so far in their series outscoring them 17-2 in two games. In those games France was a combined 4-9.
We know the Oakland Coliseum isn’t the most ideal place to hit a home run but France does have the power capability to do it especially with Montas on the mound who has given up eight earned runs combined in his last 11 innings pitched.
He has a 3.53 ERA on the season, but a more inflated 4.76 ERA in June. If he exits the game and the Athletics go to their bullpen France will still have a legitimate shot at a home run as Oakland sports the 6th highest ERA of any bullpen in the league.
Get France at +650 but another Mariners player who has a shot at a home run is Eugenio Suarez at +390.
Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Trent Grisham (+1100)
Manny Machado is out for the Padres forcing someone to pick up his offense for the time being. Trent Grisham looks to be set for the task hitting .241 in total for the month of June which is great compared to his .190 average on the season.
He’s increased his home run total each month hitting one in April, two in May and three already in June. Manager Bob Melvin has been moving him around in the line up and he’s hit in the lead off spot in two of the last three games for the Padres.
If he gets the nod hitting lead off again tonight, it adds even more value to the outrageous +1100 odds already. He’s hit four of his six home runs at home in 95 at-bats compared to hitting two in 137 at-bats on the road.
It’s a long shot but Machado is still out and the power needs to come from somewhere else besides Luke Voit who you can get for +300 for a safer bet. Another Padres player who could hit a home run tonight is Jake Cronenworth at +900.
