Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Austin Riley (+350)
Austin Riley is tied for 11th in the MLB with 18 home runs so far this season but his power has seemed to drop off with his last coming back on June 15.
What better way is there to get his power back on track than facing a pitcher who he’s 11-31 against with three home runs in Aaron Nola of the Phillies.
For what it’s worth Riley is ahead of last year’s home run pace in which he hit 33 in 160 games, but there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be able to hit 35 or more this season.
Nola has somewhat struggled at home this season with seven of the 10 home runs given up coming at Citizens Bank Park. He also compiles a 4.10 ERA at home compared to a 2.13 ERA on the road.
Riley is listed at +350 to hit a home run but other Braves players with nice splits against Nola including Ronald Acuña Jr. (day-to-day), and Marcell Ozuna (+310).
Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Max Muncy (+370)
Max Muncy has struggled mightily this season only hitting .162 on the season with six home runs which is a far cry from the 36 he hit last season.
He faces off against Padres ace Joe Musgrove who has been stellar this season going 8-1 with a 2.12 ERA on the season, but he’s struggled his past two starts allowing eight home runs in 13 innings pitched including three home runs.
Muncy in his career against Musgrove is 7-15 with a home run and the Dodgers as a whole will be happy to be back home playing after a grueling 9-game road trip across three different time zones. Believe it or not Muncy has been hitting better this month improving his average from .150 at the end of May to .162 now and he just hit one of his six home runs two games ago against the Rockies.
Get Muncy at +370, but another Dodgers player you could consider hitting a home run is Freddie Freeman (+500) who is 6-15 with a home run off Musgrove as well.
