Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Yordan Alvarez (+270)
The Athletics send Adam Oller to the mound tonight and his stats so far this season are subpar to say the least. His last start came against these Astros eight days ago in which he gave up three earned runs including two home runs in 4.1 innings pitched.
Those home runs were given up to Kyle Tucker and Jeremy Pena. We’re going with slugger Yordan Alvarez who is significantly better against right handed pitching hitting .343 compared to hitting only .240 against lefties.
Twenty-two of his 28 home runs have come against righties and he has a .327 batting average on the road compared to .283 at home. He’s hit .350 in the Overstock.com Coliseum and has five home runs this month already including two in the last three games he’s played.
We’re going to keep riding his hot bat to hit a home run tonight at +270 but there are various Astros players you could consider including Kyle Tucker (+390) and Jose Altuve (+370).
Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Freddie Freeman (+370)
Freddie Freeman has been scorching lately going 6-14 in the team’s last series against the Giants with two home runs and has hit .411 in the month of July.
They’ll welcome the Nationals to Dodger Stadium for a 3-game series sending Paolo Espino to the mound for tonight’s game. He’s allowed six home runs in his last four starts and his ERA has increased a run and a half since becoming a starter in Mid June.
Freeman is 4-8 with a home run against Espino in his career and hits .340 against righties so far on the season. His six home runs in July are the most in any month so far this season so let’s keep riding his hot power bat to hit a home run tonight at +370.
Other Dodger hitters to consider hitting a home run include Mookie Betts (+220), Trea Turner (+310) and Will Smith (+280).
