NRFI Prediction 1: Marlins vs Braves (-108)

We’re set for a Alcantara vs Elder rematch from six days ago as the Marlins welcome the Braves to LoanDepot Park.

A NRFI occurred in that Braves vs Marlins matchup with Atlanta coming away with a 6-4 win. Elder has only allowed a first inning run in one of his six starts with Alcantara not allowing a run in the first in all five of his starts.

That April 26 game was Miami’s last loss as they now ride four-straight wins into tonight. The Marlins as a team haven’t allowed a first inning run in five straight with the Braves not allowing a run in the first in eight of their last nine games.

Play on a NRFI to occur in this Marlins vs Braves matchup at -115 with both pitchers coming out of the gates firing.

NRFI Prediction 2: Tigers vs Mets (-115)

The Mets head to Comerica Park to take on the Tigers with these two teams ranking dead last in the MLB in first inning runs scored per game.

The Mets are coming off a double header at home yesterday so they could be somewhat tired coming into today’s game.

The Tigers offensive struggles are well documented. They’re dead last in total runs scored and have a bottom three batting average in the MLB. Michael Lorenzen gets the start for the Tigers with Joey Lucchesi taking the bump for the Mets.

Lorenzen has allowed a first inning run in two of three starts this season but should be looking to improve his 7.07 ERA so expect him to be locked in out of the gates.

The Mets haven’t allowed a first inning run in both of Lucchesi’s starts this season and the cold, rainy weather in Detroit could keep all offense at a minimum tonight. Get a NRFI bet in this Tigers vs Mets game at -115 with first pitch coming at 6:40pm ET.
