NRFI Prediction 1: Phillies vs Marlins (-132)

Despite the struggles of Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara, Miami looks to close out the first half of the MLB season 10+ games over .500 now sitting 51-38 heading into their series vs the Phillies.

Zach Wheeler starts for Philadelphia not allowing a first inning run in 14 of 17 starts on the season including five straight. Alcantara is 3-7 with a 4.93 ERA but hasn’t allowed a first inning run in 14 of 17 starts this season as well.

The Marlins are still second to last in first inning scoring in the MLB with the Phillies playing to a NRFI in four of their past six games.

These two have played a 3-game series already this season with all games going to a NRFI in Philadelphia back in April. Play on a Phillies vs Marlins NRFI tonight at -132 with first pitch at 6:40pm ET.

NRFI Prediction 2: Mariners vs Astros (-148)

We head out to Houston for one NRFI play tonight at Luis Castillo takes the mound against Hunter Brown with last night opening series game going to a NRFI.

The Mariners haven’t allowed a first inning run in seven straight with Castillo not allowing a first inning run in 13 of his 17 total starts on the season.

Hunter Brown has been just as good in the first inning not allowing a run in 13 of his 16 starts with the Astros riding a 4-game NRFI streak and hitting one in five of their last six.

Seattle sports the sixth worst team batting average in the MLB as current Astros hitters collectively bat only .196 against Castillo. Play on a Mariners vs Astros NRFI tonight at -148 with first pitch at 8:10pm ET.
