Pitcher Prop Prediction 1: Zack Wheeler Over 18.5 Outs Recorded (+125)

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler is having a stellar 2023 campaign with an 8-5 record, 3.74 ERA and 145 strikeouts across 125 innings of work.

After falling short of 19+ outs recorded for the majority of the season, Wheeler has cleared this total in three straight games with 21, 21 & 20 outs recorded.

He has already faced the Miami Marlins twice on April 12th & July 7th and pitched exactly six innings on both occasions.

Pitcher Prop Prediction 2: Yusei Kikuchi Under 16.5 Outs Recorded (-130)

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi is having the best season of career with an 8-3 record, 3.79 ERA and 116 strikeouts across 109.1 innings pitched.

He has been sharp in his last two starts with only one run allowed while scattering 12 hits across only 11.1 innings of work. However, Kikuchi has struggled to pitch deep into games, falling short of this total in four of his last five starts and 7 of 21 starts on the season (66% success rate to the under).

This includes two starts against the Baltimore Orioles in May and June where he recorded exactly 14 outs. Current O’s sluggers have feasted on Kikuchi, batting .308 with 9 home runs and 21 RBI across 103 plate appearances.

Key hitters like Ryan Mountcastle, Anthony Santander and Adley Rutschman have all crushed Kikuchi. The O’s lineup is firing on all cylinders and has scored a combined 17 runs in their first two games of this series north of the border.

Look for them to work the count, get on base and score enough runs to give Kikuchi the quick hook and fall short of 17 outs recorded tonight in Toronto.
