Pitcher Prop Bets No. 1: Luis Severino (NYM) Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-118; FanDuel)

Luis Severino has cleared this number in just 41% of his starts this season, so we like him to go under this number against the Nationals at home today. The Nationals have a 14.1% K rate against left-handed pitching over their last 14 games. Severino has not been racking up Ks this season, and he struck out just four Nationals in his first meeting with them this season.

Severino had three strikeouts in his last start, though he’s maxed out at ten Ks in a game this season. The Nationals have a 10.5% swinging strike rate over their last 14 games against lefties and a 29.6% chase rate. This number is too high, making it one of the best pitcher props today.

Pitcher Props Today – Best Bets No.2: Michael King (SD) Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-150; BetMGM)

King is coming off a five-strikeout game against the Rangers, but we like him to go over today against the Mariners. King has cleared this number in 32% of games this season, but this is a great matchup. The Mariners have a 34.4% K rate against right-handed pitching over the last 14 games, along with a 15.5% swinging strike rate and a 28.6% chase rate.

King is in the 68th percentile for chase rate, the 67th for whiff rate, and the 79th for strikeout rate. King has crazy metrics against the current Mariners roster but in a small sample size. King has maxed out as 12 strikeouts this season, so he can certainly hit this number against one of the most strikeout-heavy teams in the MLB.
