Red Sox vs Guardians Expert Betting Recommendations
This will be the first time these teams in the 2023 campaign. The Red Sox came out on top 5-2 during the 2022 season series, sweeping all three games at Fenway Park in June and splitting four games in Cleveland in July.
The Guardians have a tremendous pitching edge in Game 1 so I would look their way in Game 1. Games 2 & 3 both seem suited for high scoring games early on as all four starting pitchers have struggled out of the gate.
However the Guardians have a top ten bullpen that could make late inning runs difficult to come by. Rafael Devers has had success against all three Cleveland starters, going 3-11 with two home runs against Bieber, 2-6 against Plesac and 3-8 with a home run against Quantrill.
Devers leads the American League with 9 home runs and has cleared 1.5 total bases in 8 of his last 13 games.
Devers total bases over is generally set somewhere in the -140 to +120 range and at that price it would be worth playing in all three games with sights set on hitting at least two of three games for some profit.
