2024 PFL Week 2 Predictions

Robert Wilkinson -218 vs Tom Breese +180

Wilkinson is a finishing machine, but there’s a pretty big issue with him and that he got busted for using steroids and he hasn’t fought since then so we don’t know if he’s as powerful now as he was before.

He’s a brute striker, but I don’t know if I can trust him in his first fight back. Breese can be a head-scratcher as well, and while he’s on a nice winning streak it’s been against opponents nowhere near the caliber of Wilkinson.

Breese is quick on the feet, and he is very good about getting to the back and sinking in rear naked chokes, but I don’t think he can do that against Wilkinson.

If Wilkinson can keep it on the fight, I have to believe his power will be too much for Breese. This fight could be a circus so I don’t want to bet my money on it, but Wilkinson is the pick.

Clay Collard -198 vs Patricky Freire +164

I think Clay Collard is overhyped and I don’t get it. Most of his fights aren’t that exciting, but they keep telling me he’s the most exciting fighter ever, and it’s laughable because I have eyes, and they work and could name 50 fighters more exciting than him.

However, in this fight, he’s the rightful favorite, and I do like him to outstrike Freire on the feet. I think Friere is flatfooted and lacks the movement to stay away from the punches of Collard.

Freiere is 2-4 in his last 6 fights, and against Shablly last fight, he was damaged early and never got anything going and I think the same thing happens here.

Collard should have more volume and pressure and unless Freire KO’s Collard, which won’t happen, he’ll be trouble for most of the fight. This price is fine to bet at this price IMHO, and I will be be playing it.

2024 PFL Week 2 Main Event: Impa Kasanganay -310 vs Alex Polizzi +250

I made a lot of money on Impa last PFL season, and I expect to profit again this season starting with this fight.

He’s a better striker, and I’m guessing he’ll be better on the ground than Polizzi which is a problem because that seems to be where Polizzi wants to fight.

He’s coming off of two losses, one to Yoel Romero and one to Karl Moore, and he just didn’t look good in those fights, and Impa is coming off a loss to Johnny Eblen, but he fought well and it was a close split decision, and Eblen is one of the best fighters around.

Impa will be able to stuff takedowns from Polizzi and win the striking battle en route to a victory. This is a solid parlay piece.
