Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Prospect Series Manassas
Last event we had a fighter get arrested after weigh ins for going out and selling Fentanyl, we had a fighter who’s team wouldn’t let her go fight because she was going to get beat up too bad, a shattered hand in the opening fight, but more importantly we cashed our BEST BET.
I’ve been saying for a while that Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship events are insane, but profitable. Let’s get into the fights that we have on this card, and you can get our BEST BET for this card HERE
I’ll start with some of the crazy fights that only Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship can deliver us before getting to the main and co-main event.
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Predictions
Ryan Shough -135 v Joe Ray +105
Joe Ray has never been in a boxing match, just MMA, and he hasn’t fought since August. Of 2013. That’s right, over a decade has passed since he last fought.
Ryan Shough was knocked out in his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut, and let’s just say he’s not a physical specimen and he looked terrible. That being said, I’m not betting on someone who hasn’t fought since Iron Man 3 was the #1 movie at the box office. Ryan Shough is my lean.
Murat Kilimetov -650 v Tre Cook +475
Why is this fight interesting? Well, neither of them have been in a Bare Knuckle Boxing match or any other boxing match. All MMA fights, and neither of them have fought since 2020.
Tre Cook has lost his last 4 MMA fights by submission, but there are no submissions in Bare Knuckle. That being said, Cook is 38 years. Kilimetov should be more crisp and disciplined, but I’m not laying this juice. Fight is a pass.
Crystal Van Wyk -350 v Crystal Lawson +275
If you want to see something funny, take a look at the size of the woman Crystal Van Wyke had to fight in her last fight.
No wonder she didn’t win, but she showed good skills, and she’s the rightful favorite. Crystal Lawson has been flatlined by Aline Pereira (Alex Pereira’s sister), and Andy Nguyen in the first round, and she lost her other fight as well.
She’s 0-4 in amateur and professional fights, and doesn’t look good. As soon as Van Wyk hits her a couple times, Lawson will melt. Van Wyk is the play.
Shawn Brooks -225 v Jordan Christensen +185
I like the underdog here as he’s fought in Bare Knuckle 5 times and he went all 5 rounds in a decision win in his last fight.
I love fading guys who haven’t fought Bare Knuckle before against someone who’s done it before. It’s a completely different sport from MMA or regular boxing.
Brooks has lost his last 3 MMA fights, I have no idea why he’s favored over a guy who has fought and won in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship before.
Co-Main Event: Cameron VanCamp -250 v Micah Terrill +200
Cameron VanCamp came from the UFC after getting knocked out a couple times, and although he lost his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut , I thought he looked good. He fought a good fighter with a good resume and went the distance, and didn’t get beat up bad.
He did damage to his opponent, and showed solid cardio and I thought he was getting more comfortable as the fight went on.
Terrill comes from an MMA background, and has won 3 straight boxing matches coming into this event, but the combined record of those opponents is 0-7.
They were exhibition fights, and Terrill is 40 years old and didn’t look like a great boxer. Terrill has an MMA fight booked in 6 weeks in the Shogun promotion where he’s fought quite a bit, so I wonder if this is a quick paycheck for him.
He’s probably training for his MMA fight, and he can’t get hurt in this fight or he’s out of the Shogun fight so he can’t break his hand or suffer a deep cut.
I’m guessing he’ll be tentative, and if VanCamp starts to swarm or land consistently he’ll take a knee and get out of there. VanCamp is 10 years younger and looks like he could stick around for a while in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Main Event: Brandon Shavers -150 vs Stanislav Grosu +120
Shavers will have the reach advantage, but Grosu just beat a guy with a longer reach in his last fight, but that guy isn’t as good as Shavers.
Shavers is much tougher, and more accurate with his punches. He also is decent in the clinch which will benefit him a lot as Grosu likes to push forward and continually pressure.
Grosu has good power, and he can do serious damage when he lands, but I like Shavers’s speed and elusiveness to frustrate Grosu and that will set up the jab on the outside.
Shavers lost to Bryce Henry in his last fight, but Bryce Henry is 6-0 in boxing, and 4-0 in Bare Knuckle, and Shavers made it to round 4 with Henry which is Henry’s longest BKFC fight. Shavers by decision will be the play for me in a close fight.
