DWCS 6 Predictions

Yura Naito -180 vs Ateba Gautier +150

Both guys have pretty impressive finishing power, but some of the opponents that they’ve faced have been shockingly bad. Naito is going to want to shoot and get the takedown while Gautier is going to want to stand and strike.

If Gautier keeps it on the feet, he can let his strikes fly, and he can knock out Naito no problem, but I really like Naito’s takedown game, and control.

Gautier’s stance leaves him open to get taken down, and I don’t think Naito will waste any time. He has really good ground and pound, and I think he wins this convincingly on the ground.

DWCS 2024 Week 6 Every Fight Breakdown Bets, Tips, Predictions, Odds – Dana White Contender Series

Tallison Teixeira -650 vs Arthur Lopes +470

Lopes is 31 years old, fought in 2018 and then didn’t fight til March of this year, and I can’t find any film of the fight, but the fight only lasted 20 seconds as he knocked the guy out early.

The rest of his film is barely watchable so the only thing I can gather is that he pushes forward, tries to swarm against the fence and land a lot of shots in the clinch.

Teixeira is very patient, waits for his opportunity and then strikes, and he has big time KO power. However, his wins were against bums.

I don’t know how he’s going to react to forward pressure, and he seems a bit lackadaisical at times, and I certainly won’t be laying this price on him. We have no idea how Lopes will look so this fight is a stay away.

Benjamin Bennett +105 vs Joey Hart -125

This is a really close fight, but I like Bennett to get the nod here. Hart is tall, and has really long jabs, but he gets flat-footed during the fight, and he leaves his chin way too exposed and he’s been clipped, but his opponents haven’t taken advantage.

Bennett won’t let him off the hook, and Bennett has some wrestling in his arsenal that I don’t think Hart will respond to well.

I think Bennett is going to land more shots, have better forward pressure, and be more active with the takedowns. It’ll be a close one, but I think Bennett grinds out a victory.

Dylan Mantello +145 vs Ahmad Hassanzada -175

I faded Dylan Mantello the last time he was on Contender Series, and it worked at well as he was submitted in the first round on last season.

He had a fight since then, and he got the KO win in the second round, but he was getting pieced up on the feet before he landed a great knee, and I just see too many holes in his game. He walks into too many punches, he doesn’t have a great ground game.

Hassanzada can get clipped as well, but his strikes should be landing pretty easily on Mantello. He also has a submission win recently so that’s an advantage for him. Hassanzada is the play.

DWCS Week 6 Main Event: Aaron Tau vs Elijah Smith

Tau is an interesting fighter as he’s a brawler, super tough, but he’s not super polished.

He’s really intense, and he has big explosions of offense, but there are lots of long stretches with no strikes thrown, and although he’s shown big, exciting slam takedowns, he just doesn’t do much with it, and I think the lack of activity is going to be a problem.

Smith has good power, and he has good takedowns, and control, and if he just avoids the huge explosions that Tau has, I think he pulls ahead the longer the fight goes.
