2024 PFL Week 6 Predictions

Logan Storley -250 vs Luca Poclit +205

Here’s another favorite that I’m not a big fan of betting on in this spot. Poclit will want this to get to the ground where he does his best work, and while he hasn’t faced the best competition, I’m not sure Storley is that much better.

Storley is 15-3 in his career, but 2 of his losses are in his last 3 fights. His recent wins are over Brennan Ward, Michael Page, Nieman Gracie and Dante Schiro with Page being his best win and even that was a split decision.

He’s lost to Musaev and Amosov recently, and I’ll take Poclit to get this to the ground and score the upset in a close decision win.

Magomed Umalatov -2800 vs Brennan Ward +1300

Brennan Ward has been open that he has a job and has to get done with his fights so he can get back to his job so let’s just say he’s not fully invested.

Umalatov is going to beat him pretty easily, and it’s going to be quick as Umalatov needs a quick finish to score maximum points.

Umalatov by finish is a parlay piece and so is the UNDER 1.5 rounds as Umalatov will get Ward to the ground and win by submission or ground and pound.

Gabriel Braga -198 vs Bubba Jenkins +164

Jenkins is a guy who has had a successful career by using his wrestling so it was a surprise that he tried to strike the entire fight against Kai Kamaka last time out, and it cost him as he lost.

He’s most likely eliminated from the playoffs unless he gets a quick finish and other things fall into place for him, but his striking isn’t very solid, and Braga isn’t going to be scared of it.

Braga will have the striking advantage on the feet, and with Jenkins needing a quick finish I expect a flurry of action right off the start.

I’m liking the under 2.5 rounds at +120 here. Bubba doesn’t have great cardio, and he’s probably going to use his energy early in the fight, and if he doesn’t get the finish he’s going to gas, and I see Braga finishing Bubba on the feet. Either way, I like the under at +120.

2024 PFL Week 6 Main Event: Brendan Loughnane -500 vs Justin Gonzales +380

You’re paying the “Loughnane Tax” on this one as he should win, but wow this is expensive. Loughnane knocked out Carvalho in his last fight, but he just didn’t look like the Loughnane of old.

He got flash knocked out of last season’s tourney, and I just have to wonder if we’ve seen the best of him.

It’s hard to bet on Gonzales who’s lost 3 fights in a row, including a round-one KO 2 months ago so Loughnane will be the pick, but I won’t be putting him in parlays at -500 as there are better betting spots on the card.
