The Rockets’ rebuilding project will continue, but they hope to string together wins. Houston labored through multiple prolonged losing streaks of 15, 12, eight and seven games last season.
Jalen Green stepped it up in the scoring department and Kevin Porter Jr has shown flashes at the guard position. The Rockets scooped up Jabari Smith Jr. with the No. 3 overall pick in the NBA Draft and signed first rounders Tari Eason and TyTy Washington, making for a hodgepodge of young talent.

2022-23 Houston Rockets Prediction
The Houston Rockets have an impressive collection of young talent but you have to keep in mind that they are relying on a group of rookies mixing with a group of second-year players.
The Rockets has the league’s worst defensive rating last season behind an inexperienced, offensive-minded group. Houston also traded away their most reliable offensive option in Christian Wood.
Head Coach Stephen Silas is going to have his hands full winning games in the Western Conference with more playoff contenders than bottom-feeders. Houston has won 17 and 20 games in the last two seasons and I don’t see much of an improvement this year.
As the year wears on, the thoughts of tanking for Victor Wembanyama could creep in. The young Rockets do not appear ready for liftoff quite yet and there is still plenty of room to squeeze under 23.5 wins here.
