Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies Analysis
* All lines provided by DraftKings
The Memphis Grizzlies travel to Atlanta for an interconference showdown with the Hawks on Friday night. The Hawks had a three game win streak snapped in Charlotte in a 116-106 defeat against the Hornets.
John Collins will be out for Atlanta, while Trae Young and Danilo Gallinari are both questionable. The Grizz won their fourth straight game and 2nd game of this four game homestand 135-102 over the Indiana Pacers. Ja Morant missed that game but looks to be on track to play tonight.
Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies Team Totals
The Memphis Grizzlies are favored by 5 points with a high total of 237.5, setting the Hawks team total at 116.5 and the Grizzlies at 121.5.
This is a matchup of two offensively minded teams that rank 4th and 8th in scoring, but 13th and 21st in scoring defense.
The Grizz are the higher ranked team in both categories and are also top ten in pace of play. The big issue Atlanta has here is not having John Collins available. Without Collins they will need at least 40 points out of Trae Young to have a chance of keeping up with Memphis.
If Young sits…forget about it. We will take a shot on the Hawks team total under with or without Young.

Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies Player Props
The Atlanta Hawks won 132-100 in the first head-to-head meeting between these squads. However, the Hawks had John Collins and Ja Morant was injured 9 minutes into the game and never returned.
We don’t have official player prop numbers based on the murky waters surrounding Trae Young. However I basically know where to look regardless of the numbers.
If Trae Young is good to go we need to look towards his overs on points + assists or points alone. His points line will be right around 29.5 and an assist line of 9.5, combined should be around 40.5-41.5.
Young will feel the pressure to pace the Hawks without Collins on the floor and will be involved on every possession. If Young is out, look towards DeAndre Hunter over for points, it should be around 13.5-14.5.
If Young is out they will need Hunter to score and he is needed on the court to guard Morant. Take his over for points if Young is out. Unfortunately we won’t have a same game parlay for this article, making it nearly impossible with so many question marks.
Potential Player Prop Plays:
Trae Young Over Points + Assists (if active)
DeAndre Hunter Over Points (if Young is out)
