Boston Celtics vs Chicago Bulls Betting Analysis
The Chicago Bulls travel to Boston for an Eastern Conference clash with the Celtics on Monday night. The Celtics are coming off a 121-116 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night. The Bulls also picked up a win on Saturday night 126-118 in Utah against the Jazz.
This will already be the fourth and final regular season meeting between these teams as Chicago currently leads the series 2-1. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST/4:30 PST from TD Garden in Boston.
Bulls Roll Over Jazz
The Chicago Bulls improved to 19-21 after winning on the road in Utah on Saturday. Chicago had a tremendous advantage at the free throw line where they went 25-32 for 78% compared to the Jazz going only 14-18 for 77.8%.
Zach Lavine led all scorers with 36 points along with 7 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan was right behind him with 35 points and 7 assists while Nikola Vucevic recorded a 15 point, 16 rebound double-double.
The Bulls rank 12th in scoring with 115.1 points per game on 49% from the field. Defense has been a struggle as they sit at 20th in defensive rating and 19th in scoring with 115.5 points allowed per game.
Tony Bradley and Javonte Green has both already been ruled out for this contest while Alex Caruso is questionable with an ankle injury.
Celtic Pride
The Boston Celtics Celtics upped their record to an impressive 28-12 on the season after picking up a victory over the Spurs on Saturday. The Celtics big edge came from beyond the arc where they went 15-34 for 44.1% compared to San Antonio going only 7-25 for 28%.
Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 34 points on 13-26 from the field. Jaylen Brown was next in line with 29 points on 12-26 shooting. The Celts still lead the league in scoring with 118.8 points a game.
The Celtics are still getting their defense in order as they sit at 7th in defensive rating and 13th in scoring with 113 points allowed per game. It doesn’t help that Marcus Smart is currently listed as doubtful with a knee injury, he is the only player listed on the injury report.
Boston Celtics vs Chicago Bulls Same Game Parlay Prediction
The Boston Celtics are 8.5 point home favorites with a high total of 236.5. This is already the fourth time these teams have locked horns this season with the Bulls coming out ahead in two of three games.
Marcus Smart is listed as doubtful with a knee contusion and I would be stunned if he played. Tatum and Brown already do the lions share of the scoring but without Smart their point scoring potential is through the roof.
It has me thinking same game parlay with both players being asked to score 25+ points at -110 odds. Tatum has scored 26, 36 & 28 against Chicago this season while Brown has scored 21, 16 & 25.
However Marcus Smart played in all three games. Brown has scored 25+ in 27 of 38 games for 71% while Tatum has got there in 32 of 38 games for 84%. Without Smart this game should turn into an absolute scoringfest and the total is closing in on 240.
