Boston Celtics vs Golden State Warriors Predictions
The pressure has been lifted as Steph got the record for mad three pointers, and the team has had a couple days off before playing at Boston on Friday. Boston has had even more days off as they haven’t played since Monday, so we should see a spirited game between these two teams. Golden State is a 3.5-point favorite and the total sits at 216, and I think we can find a play to profit off of in this one.
Boston broke a three game losing streak with a win over Milwaukee behind a huge game from Tatum (42 points). My immediate concern for Boston in this matchup is their complete dependency on Tatum. He’s been their leading scorer in 11 out of their last 13 games, and Golden State is the #1 defensive team in the league, and they are 6th best in the league defending small forwards, and the combo of Wiggins and Green could prove to be a lot for Tatum. There aren’t any obvious trends for ATS or Totals for Boston, but there are for Golden State…
After Steph broke the record for threes against New York, the Warriors settled down in that game and won by nine. They lost to the Suns in the epic showdown on November 30th and lost to the Spurs in the most obvious let down spot of the season for them after they got their revenge win against Phoenix, and then dropped a game to Philly when Steph was firing threes and not hitting them, and other than that…there aren’t any losses in a month. They are the second best team covering the spread this season, but I will be playing the total in this one.
Golden State is 20-7 to the under this season, 10-2 to the under on the road, and 8-1-1 in their last 10. Boston is the kind of team they can focus on Tatum and dare the rest of the team to beat them, and Boston hasn’t shown they can do that this season. The Warriors have gone under this total of 216 in 10 out of their last 14 games, and I see another under for them.
OFFICIAL PLAY: Under 216

Boston Celtics vs Golden State Warriors Analysis from The GoldSheet
Golden State G Steph Curry likely felt a measure of relief after finally breaking Ray Allen’s the 3-point record in the Garden on Tuesday, and Warriors have zoomed to 23-5 SU and are at the top of the standings (although still 2nd behind Cleveland for pointspread honors with 18-9-1 overall mark vs. the points). Boston covered its only chance as a home dog this season and note that GS is a skoosh more vulnerable on the road, where they are 9-3 SU (vs. 14-2 vs. the points) and only 7-5 against the number as a visitor). Seems the value might lie with Boston, which is healthy, well-rested with 3 days off prior to this one, and has won 7 of last 8 at the TD Garden.
